A Midsummer Concert – Jacobstowe 2026
Some evenings are simply too special to forget… and this was certainly one of them.
On Friday 12th June, St James Church, Jacobstowe was packed to the rafters for A Midsummer Concert, featuring Crowdy-Kit and Mariners Away. It was one of those memorable community occasions where music, laughter and friendship came together in a beautiful setting.
We’re delighted that the evening raised £646, to be shared equally between the RNLI and St James Church, Jacobstowe, helping to support the church’s valuable community outreach work.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along and made the evening such a success, to the organising committee and volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, and to St Boniface Veterinary Clinic for generously supporting the refreshments. The strawberries and cream, chocolates, Pimms and fruit punch certainly went down a treat!
If you couldn’t join us – or if you’d simply like to relive a wonderful evening – our good friend Philip Rego has created a superb 19-minute highlights film, featuring performances by both Crowdy-Kit and Mariners Away.
It was also an absolute pleasure to share the stage with Jon, Matt and Hannah of Crowdy-Kit. What a talented and entertaining trio they are.
